Livestock

Pigs

We raise our rare breed Gloucester Old Spot pigs to the highest standard, ensuring they live outdoors, roaming and rooting on the farm as nature intended. As a result the meat is full of flavour. It’s rich and succulent as pork should be.

Our pigs are weaned later than usual on intensive pig farms, which is less stressful for both sow and piglets, ultimately resulting in better quality meat.

Sheep

Grazed on the farm’s lush pastures and herbal ley, our mix of Hampshire Down and Herdwick cross lambs mature slowly giving our lamb a fuller flavour.

Grass fed sheep result in slower growing lambs, and the herbal lay acts as a natural anthelmintic, reducing the need to use wormer.

Prize Winning Flock

Our sheep won first prize in the Basingstoke and District Agricultural Society’s competition for best sheep flock 2022.

The judge commented …

“1st place - Newhouse Farm Partnership. I really want to emphasise just how good some of their lambs were! Proper little meat machines! For a flock of smaller numbers to the rest, their system of a few different breeds for different finishing rates for lamb boxes was fantastic. The ewes even with some being slightly aged, were doing fantastic jobs of their lambs.”

Newhouse Farm Meat Boxes

We sell our lamb, pork and game regularly throughout the year in meat boxes. Each box offers a range of cuts, full of high quality meat grown on the farm.
