FARM OPEN DAYS AND CHRISTMAS FARMERS’ MARKETS

Each summer we open the farm to welcome visitors to see what we do, to take tractor rides around the farm, to meet our pigs and sheep and to browse a variety of stalls selling produce from the farm and from other local producers. In the winter we run a farmers’ market with more stalls selling local produce as well as Newhouse lamb, pork and game.

Last year we welcomed over 1,000 visitors to Newhouse Farm.

ORCHARD

The orchard at Newhouse Farm boasts nearly 2000 trees with 12 varieties of plum which are maintained and harvested by The Wessex Wild Plum Company to produce their award-winning drinks, using traditional recipes and artisan methods. The Wessex Wild Plum Company’s white bullace liqueur and other wild plum drinks have been enjoyed for over 25 years on some of the country's most prestigious sporting estates.

SCHOOL VISITS

Our school visits are offered in partnership with The Country Trust. These visits offer children the chance to explore and experience a working farm environment, learn more about farming and where the food we eat comes from as well as giving them access to get closer to nature.
